TOPIC: Website was hackes

Website was hackes 10 years 4 months ago #1294

Hi Lhacky,
Thanks you for your hard work and for the kind support.

I applied your suggestion and now all seems to work fine, but in the control panel of the component appears a message that says I am running unknow version and that Latest version is 1.0.1

Also I want to say that I was not able to update the component using the update function of the components of joomla. I have been obliged to update the component manually (by downloading it from your site and uploading it on my site) Is this normal?
Thanks for your support!
Best regards,
Marcello

Hi Marcello,

I'm happy your problem is solved.
Regarding the version check that's only a page I forgot to update ... I updated just now and now you should see the correct message.

Regarding the manual upgrade ... probably it could depend on a slow automatically download from server. Anyway manual or autamic upgrade are quite the same.

Best Regards,

Lhacky.

Hi Herby,

in principle you could simply uninstall and reinstall JINC in order to replace files on file system.

Anyway my advice is to backup every jos_jinc* tables (if jos is you Joomla! table prefix) or better you entire database. The you can uninstall JINC and reinstall it ... at this point you can restore the jos_jinc* tables and you will have the same situation as before.

Just one further info you use addiction attibutes: in this case before uninstall JINC you must also backup the file

<JOOMLA_ROOT>/administrator/components/com_jinc/models/forms/attributes.xml

and restore it after reinstallation.

I hope my instruction are plain and usefull for you.

Best Regards,

Lhacky.
