Working with plgLTPA plugin
Using the plgLTPA plugin versione 0.1 you can enable Single Sign On features between you WebSphere Application Environment and Joomla!.
There are two prerequisite to make the SSO effective:
- You must configure properly the plgLTPA-sso plugin with the LTPA key password and the LTPA 3DES key. You can guess both using the WebSphere Administration Console and reading the LTPA key file.
- The username logged in your WebSphere Application Server must be registered also in Joomla!.
When these two prerequisite are met an user can log in your WebSphere Applications and the log in Joomla! without retype his password.
To find more information about installation and configuration of plgLTPA plugin you can read the "How to install and configure plgLTPA" document. |

How to Install and Configure
The plgLTPA is composed by two Joomla! plugins: the plgLTPA-auth and the plgLTPA-sso. You have to install both of them and configure the plgLTPA-sso plugin.
Here is the installation steps
- Download and install the plgLTPA-auth plugin using the Joomla! standard installation tool.
- Download and install the plgLTPA-sso plugin using the Joomla! standard installation tool.
- Enable the plgLTPA-auth plugin
- Configure the plgLTPA-sso. You have to set only the LTPA password and the LTPA 3DES Key.
- Enable the plgLTPA-sso.
The LTPA password and the LTPA 3DES Key are necessary to decrypt the LtpaToken cookie created by IBM® WebSphere Application Server during the authentication process. You can find the LTPA 3DES Key exporting and reading the LTPA key in a file using the WebSphere Administration Console.
You can find instruction to configure the LTPA Authentication Mechanism in WebSphere following this link.
